Trumclinic - Paul Elliott


Paul Elliott is a highly respected player, clinician and educator. His playing and recording credits include Shaun Baxter, Frank Gambale, Stu Hamm, John Wheatcroft, Jont and Richard Niles.

As a clinician, Paul has performed extensively throughout the UK and Europe, and has shared the stage alongside Steve Smith, Manu Katche, Simon Phillips, Richard Bailey, Akira Jimbo, Sonny Emory, Mark Mondesir, Gary Husband and Erik Smith.

Formerly Head of Drums at Drumtech in London, Paul now teaches privately in his West London Studio, is Head of Drums for the Academy of Music & Sound group of schools and also teaches at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford. He also acts as a consultant to other leading music education establishments such as the ABRSM.

Paul’s highly acclaimed double DVD, Technically Speaking, was released in 2000 and his teaching methods have inspired countless professional drummers, including Phil Selway (Radiohead) Dominic Greensmith (Reef) Jason Cooper (The Cure) Ashley Soan (Will Young) Mark Heaney (Gang of Four) Laurie Jenkins (Howie Day) Carlos Hercules (George Michael) Luke Bullen (KT Tunstall) Nathan Curran (Basement Jaxx) and Steve Kemp (Hard-Fi).

Paul is also a regular contributor to Rhythm magazine.
